I captured this beautiful Cardinal this morning!

This was also my first time processing a photo with Adobe Lightroom.

American Goldfinch

Here is my very first bird photo. It was taken this morning in my backyard on a cloudy dreary day!

I plan on getting much better and this will give me a good benchmark of where I started!

It is an American Goldfinch.

Got my D7200 unboxed and charged up and headed out to the back yard on a cold, cloudy morning!

Thus begins day one of my photographic journey with camera in hand!

Geared up!

Today was a fantastic day as I was finally able to go to the camera store and actually leave with the gear I normally have just been playing with at the store!

Purchased the Nikon D7200 with 14-140mm VR Kit lens, Tamron 150-600mm lens, a pair 32mb ScanDisk cards, extra battery, Nikon MB-D15 battery pack/grip, also a D7200 book which I have a better chance of reading than the included manual.

Looking forward to being able to capture some wildlife, primarily birds, among other things!

It's been over thirty years since I've picked up a camera, besides my trusty iPhone, and now I have decided to rekindle my once passion of photography!

Things are a little different today as there are no more darkrooms and film to worry with and with the digital revolution its all about clicking away these days!
